not really, i've been cleaning and doing laundry too. not to mention taking the girls and friend to the pool, but it got all stormy so we had to come home. now i find myself wondering what to do next. i feel like making something, but what??? i did find out that Juliette Lewis is going to be in the "whip it" movie. so maybe we'll have some Juliette sightings as well as Drew. I admit, I read all that celebrity trash, want to know what's up with Mary Kate?? I probably know, it's a sad thing, thank god i don't spend money on the rags, just cruise perez hilton once in awhile.
took the girls to see the "kit" movie last week. lily carries her doll with her everywhere, and she wasn't the only little girl with a doll on her lap. i sat by a grandpa who was there with his granddaughter, (if he was by himself, well that would of been just creepy), i told him that he was most likely the only guy there. he agreed. the movie was sweet, and pretty entertaining, i think they should of called it "kit and the hobos" though, because there was a lot of hobo'n going on. i love the word hobo, shawn and i have spent an ample amount of time discussing hobos, and it's my all time favorite halloween costume. i came up with a drinking game for when the dvd comes out, every time the word hobo is said, you drink, they say it that much. and the hobos are "bad" in the movie, i don't think i've ever heard so much negativity surrounding the hobos of the depression. looks like i need to read up more on hobo history. seriously, i love that kind of americana history.
when i was little, like 8 or 9, there was this famous hobo who came into our town (hometown was about 2000 people, tiny), i'm not sure why he was famous, but i remember my mom telling me he was. i still remember walking up to him while he sat in the park and asking him all kinds of questions. he wore overalls and had this huge hat that was covered in all kinds of buttons and badges, pins, all kind of stuff. i tried to touch it and he yelled at me. he was a grumpy hobo. i think he was probably famous for his hat and yelling at people.
